When a good friend of mine approached me to shoot an intimate wedding for a cousin of his, I was delighted to help out. On the day itself, we were blessed by beautiful weather. It was a small intimate ceremony at St. Barnabas.
It was really lovely to see all the excited faces of the children and adults – getting ready for the wedding patiently waiting on the bride.
Once Cynthia was at the church door (who was looking gorgeous), it was on..... there was a beautiful soft light that was falling at the foot of the altar. It made for some gorgeous images throughout the wedding ceremony. Once the ceremony was over the the now very happy couple headed out to snap fun portrait photos.
Those of you who read my blog and know my work, will know that I class myself as a people watcher/story teller rather than a “wedding photographer”. Its the interaction between people, on a wedding day, that I strive to use as the vehicle to tell the story of the day pictorially. I adore the time after the ceremony when the guests and the bride and groom mingle for the first time.
Here's a few shots of there day, a small both big day for the both of them.
